No fewer than five members of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives from Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kaduna States to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
They are Lawan Shehu-Bichi (Kano); Abdulsalam Asamu (Kano); Sani Dangaladima (Zamfara); Ibrahim Shehu-Gusua (Zamfara); and Umar Bature ( Sokoto) .
Meanwhile another lawmaker from Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru also defected from PDP to APC.
With the recent development, the PDP has regained its majority leadership in the House of Representatives with 178 members against 168.
Aminu Tambuwal, Speaker of the House of Representatives disclosed after reading the letters sent by the affected lawmakers.
