The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Thursday dismissed media reports of a looming fuel scarcity.
In a press release issued by Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim, NNPC assured members of the public that they have no reason to panic.
“The NNPC, in spite of the unending challenges posed by pipeline vandalism and product theft, has enough stock of products in its marine reserve and national strategic reserve to ensure that the country remains wet with petroleum products round the clock”, Farouk said, cautioning members of the public against any form of hoarding or panic buying of petroleum products in anticipation of scarcity.
