The departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos was a rowdy sight to behold on Monday morning, when hundreds of Dana Airline passengers trooped to the airline’s counters for refund of their previously paid air fares.

The airline’s license was suspended by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), but many of the passengers who were still unaware of the development began arriving at the airport as early as 6.00am in the hope of boarding their prescheduled flights.

However, the airline had no choice but to inform passengers that their license had been suspended, forcing the passengers to begin agitating for their refund so that they could immediately purchase tickets to board other airlines in order to meet their various early-morning appointments.

While some others were calculatedly seeking alternatives out of their predicaments, many others vented their spleen on the DANA Air personnel who was available to attend to their demands.
