At about 2pm on Saturday, October 5th, recuperating APC leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, returned to Nigeria looking fit and fresh after a successful surgery.  Three months after he left the country for a knee surgery in the United States and taking time off in the United Kingdom to properly heal, Sen. Tinubu returned to the embrace of his wife, family, teeming supporters and APC faithfuls. Minutes after he landed at the Lagos Airport, he visited the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where he condoled the victims of the ill-fated Associated Airlines plane which was conveying the corpse of the former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Agagu, when it crashed upon take-off.  Before then, Sen. Tinubu addressed the media and APC supporters, assuring them that he was fit and ready for the rigours of politics.  “I am fit as a fiddle,” he said. “My operation was performed by an awesome team of doctors, some of which are good sons and daughters of

Nigeria. These are men and women who would love to return home and help develop their country but are afraid we don’t have a good system back home to support them.” He thanked everyone who had been praying for him and those who stood by him during his stay abroad.  “This is the longest I have ever stayed out of Nigeria since I returned from exile in 1998. I am glad to be back home to participate in our strive to totally emancipate Nigeria from the claws of desperate and incompetent leadership.” ‎He declared himself totally fit and challenged doubters to a 2.5km race.
