The Judicial Commission of Inquiry investigating last month’s rumpus at the Rivers State House of Assembly may travel to London to interrogate injured Hon. Michael Chinda, who is hospitalised there.
According to Chairman of the commission, Justice Biobele Georgewill, the commission wishes to be fair to all the parties and may therefore embark on the visit London. Georgewill observed that the commission’s tasks will not be over until all parties involved in the free-for-all have stated their cases.
At the inaugural sitting of the body in Port Harcourt on Monday, Georgewill had warned that there would be no sacred cow in the final presentation of its report, saying its ultimate target is to enthrone enduring peace in the state assembly.
“Anyone found culpable no matter how highly or lowly placed would be apportioned blame and relevant recommendations made,” he said.
