The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Mr. Mike Umeh for being an alleged accomplice in a money laundering case.
A statement by the EFCC Acting Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, Umeh was picked up by operatives of the commission, Monday, in Lagos after the Sokoto High Court issued a warrant for his arrest.
The statement said he would appear before Justice Bello Abass of the Sokoto High Court today (Tuesday).
Umeh is an alleged accomplice in the case of laundering and misappropriation of public funds totalling N15 billion for which former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto State is standing trial.
