President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday forwarded the Pension Reform Bill as well as the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Bill to the upper legislative chamber for consideration and promulgation into law.

The bills were sent in two separate letters, which were read by President of the Senate, David Mark, at the floor of the Senate.

President Jonathan equally forwarded a separate letter requesting the confirmation of the appointment of four non-executive members of the Board of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

“I write to forward the under-listed names for the kind consideration of the Senate in accordance with the provision of the CBN Act of 2007,” the president wrote in a part of the letter.

He explained that the appointments were made following the expiration of the tenure of the non-executive members of the board and the vacancy in the slot for the South-South zone representative.

The nominees are Alhaji Muhammed Kafarati (North-East), Mr. Collins Chikelube (South-East), Mr. Adaba Adeiza (North-Central) and Mr. Ayuli Jemide (South-South).
