Loyalists of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed in Edo State on Thursday, killing one person in the process.
At least seven other people were injured in the fighting, which occurred in Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government Area of the state.
Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command confirmed the incident, saying the house of the ACN chairman’s in Fugar was also burnt while many vehicles were damaged. But he assured that peace had been restored to locality, following the detachment of mobile policemen.
