Goldie Harvey, young, talented singer signed on to Kennis Music, has died.She died very late on Thursday, just few hours after returning from the United States of America where she was a guest at the just-concluded Grammy Awards.
Goldie, who had several hit songs to her credit and was making waves in the country, reportedly complained of having pains in the head. She thereafter slumped, according to close sources, and was rushed to the Reddington Hospital, at Victoria Island, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
The flamboyant musician was the Nigerian contestant at the last Big Brother Africa.
“It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed on this night, shortly after arriving Lagos from LA,” a message from her management on her Facebook read. “May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord.”
Her bosom friend, Denrele Edun, also confirmed the death, saying she was full of life when she landed from the US. He said the illness and death were so sudden and shocking.
During the last Big Brother Africa show, Goldie had said she was hoping to use her innate generosity, humility, culinary abilities, style and kind heart to win Big Brother StarGame.
She also said she loved reading books, watching Manchester United, playing console games and Scrabble as well as sewing, knitting, drawing and designing.
