The Naval Headquarters on Tuesday announced a reshuffling of its administration with the appointment of three new Flag Officers Commanding for the Eastern Naval Command, the Western Naval Command and the Logistics Command.In the new appointments, Branch Chiefs at the Naval Headquarters were also replaced.
Chief of Naval Standard and Evaluation, Rear Admiral JO Aikhomu becomes the Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command, replacing Rear Admiral OB Ogunjimi, who moves to Naval Headquarters as Chief of Training and Operations.
Navy Secretary Rear Admiral IE Ibas moved to Western Naval Command as its Flag Officer Commanding, while the Director Development, Defence Headquarters, Rear Admiral A. Shettima becomes the Flag Officer Commanding, Logistics Command.
Rear Admiral IE Ibas takes the place of Rear Admiral AOA Ikioda, who moves to National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies as Moderator while Rear Admiral A. Shettima replaced Rear Admiral GE Okoi who moves to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Plans.
According to a statement signed by Commodore Kabiru Aliyu, the director of information, the appointments take effect in the second and third weeks of January 2013.
