Keystone Bank has announced the promotion of 16 of its senior staff, as part as of its effort at keeping with its culture of rewarding and celebrating commendable performance and excellence.
The promotions, which affects senior staff who showed consistent high performance during the period under review, has been approved by the Board and will be effective from 1st January 2013.
According to the bank, the members of staff were eligible for the promotion as at 31st July 2012, following an initial promotion that elevated considerable percentage of other cadre of the bank’s staff in March 2012.
The bank also disclosed it was making focused strides to reposition for business in the New Year, therefore embarking on a realignment of corporate goals that would aid the realisation of its objective to deliver consistent superior performance.
“Keystone Bank recently announced the promotion of 16 senior staff of the bank in keeping with its culture of rewarding and celebrating commendable performance and excellence. The bank also provided the opportunity for about five per cent of its workforce to take advantage of early severance package,” a statement from the bank revealed.
“Furthermore, the Board also approved a new corporate structure, which is a hybrid of regional and functional components to drive business forcefully in 2013 and beyond.”
The new structure will be supported by the Executive Directors of the bank as follows: Lagos & West Directorate – Mrs. Yvonne Isichei, Abuja & North Directorate – Mallam Shehu Abubakar, South Directorate – Mrs. Sally Uwechue-Mbanefo, Operations & Technology Directorate – Mr. Ademola M. Adewale, while the Ag. Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Shehu Muhammad will remain the fulcrum of the “highly responsive” team.
Commenting on the exercise, Dr. Shehu Muhammad, Acting Managing Director/CEO congratulated all the staff on the promotion list and encouraged them to remain inspired to deliver higher levels of performance.
“We also expect that the results of this evaluation exercise will further reinforce our performance culture and challenge all other staff to excel in their functions” he added.
