Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Ola Ibrahim has ordered the redeployment of two principal officials from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, in a move considered to be an aftermath of last Sunday’s suicide bombing attacks at the military protestant church inside the College, resulting in deaths to at least 15 people and injuries to another several score others.
The redeployment of the officers — Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Air Vice Marshall Abdullahi Kure and Corps Commander Infantry, Jaji, Major General Mohammed Isa — was made public in a statement signed by Director of Defence Information, Colonel MM Yerima,
“Air Vice Marshal EE Osim is to replace Air Vice Marshal IA Kure as Commandant Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), while Maj Gen KC Osuji will act as Corps Commander, Infantry, Jaji,” a part of it read.
“Their deployment is linked to an inquiry raised by defence headquarters to unravel the circumstances that led to the bomb explosion, which rocked Saint Andrew’s Protestant Church at the Jaji Military Command in Kaduna State, last week.”
The statement added that “Air Vice Marshall Kure and Major-General Isa will be redeployed by their respective services.”
