Huhuonline.com can disclose that the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprise, Mrs. Bolanle Onagoruwa has been sacked.Her sack was conveyed in a terse statement issued by spokesman of the Vice President, Mr. Umar Sani.
“The Director General of the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) Mrs. Bolanle Onogoruwa has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect,” the statement read. “She is to hand over to the most Senior Director in the Bureau, Mr. Benjamin Ezra Dikki, who is to hold the position in an acting capacity.”
The statement equally expressed President Jonathan’s “sincere appreciation to Mrs. Bolanle Onogoruwa for her services to the nation” and wished her “the best in her future endeavours.
Mrs. Onagoruwa had been facing a challenge from the National Assembly which recommended her sack for reportedly flouting some sections of the Act establishing the Bureau vis-a-viz the way she handled the privatization of some government holdings.
Following the debacle, the National Assembly, said, it no longer recognized her as the Director-General and refused official dealings with her.
